The Helpful Friends

One afternoon, Mia and Jake were playing in the backyard. Mia found a big box and called Jake to help her. Jake ran to her and said, “Let’s open it together!”

Inside the box, they found a shiny red bike. Mia smiled and said, “This is for you, Jake!” Jake was so happy and hugged her. Then, he said, “Thank you, Mia! Let’s ride it together.”

Just then, their dog, Buddy, ran to them and barked. Mia laughed and said, “Buddy wants to play with us!” Jake picked up a stick and threw it to Buddy. Buddy caught it and brought it back to them.

Mia, Jake, and Buddy played together until the sun went down. It was a perfect day for them!

Tier 1:

The Friendly Puppy

One sunny day, a little puppy named Max ran into the park. He saw a boy playing with a ball. Max barked at him and wagged his tail. The boy smiled and threw the ball to him. Max caught it and brought it back to the boy.

Then, Max saw a girl eating an ice cream cone. He ran to her and looked at her with his big, cute eyes. The girl laughed and gave him a lick of her ice cream. Max licked it happily.

Next, Max noticed two kids flying a kite. He ran to them and barked at them. The kids waved at him and let him chase the kite. Max had so much fun with them!

Finally, Max saw his owner calling him. He ran to her and jumped into her arms. She hugged him and said, “Good boy, Max! Let’s go home.”

Max wagged his tail and followed her. He loved his day at the park!
