Welcome 👦👧boys and girls to Mathematics class. Today we will be going on an adventure where we will be exploring the topic: Time Elapse.

What is Elapse Time?

Elapsed time is the duration between two given time. 

Additionally, elapsed time is from the start time of an event to the end time of the event.

How to Calculate Elapsed Time?

You can do the following to find elapsed time:

1. Add

2. Subtract

3. Use a number line

Example of how to subtract elapsed time.

Rember that                              60 minutes= 1 hour

When you are subtracting hours and minutes. 

if you take an hour and bring it to the minute column the hour will be 60 minutes. See the example below👇 

John's flight departed from Montego Bay at 9am and arrived at America at 6:20pm. How long was John's flight? see the example below?

                                                    Ans= 2 hours and 40 minutes
