The definition of Solids/3D Shapes
In geometry, there are various types of solids. Solids are three-dimensional shapes because they have three dimensions such as length, breadth and height. The bodies which occupy space are called solids.
The geometry solids are called polyhedrons.
A net in this context is nothing like a fishing net or a basketball net! It is simply a picture of what the 3D shape would look like if all its sides were folded out flat. Imagine a cardboard box that has been opened out, for example.
A net is what a 3D shape would look like if it was unfolded. You can draw and fold nets to make 3D shapes. A 3D shape can have more than one possible net.
